That with all the hype around the new Civic Si and Type R, the previous gen will be buried in the past and will get very cheap, very fast. I can’t wait. Personally, I’ve always loved the look of the 9th gen Si. Kinda like with the FoST when the FiST and later the FoRS came out.

Even before the new ones came out I was starting to see 2012s for under 10 grand.

But it’s a 2012. They’re gross.

The base Civic, yeah, but the Si didn’t change as much for 2013. I actually like the way the 2012 Si looks more than the 2013.

This is a good point. These will be awfully good cars for not a lot of money.

I’ll say this here......THere is a FoST near me with over 6.5k taken off MSRP. I’m thinking of trading in my FiST for it for more power on the track days. I won’t link to where it is and just how crazy the deal is but all I’ll say is 29k MSRP down to 22.5k sale price. All of it is independent of who buys it. If I can get some loyalty cash and a decent trade in, I’ll be in a FoST by the end of the weekend.

It’s also a Civic and an Si at that. The prices won’t drop any differently. Even 7th gen Civic’s kept value when the 8th came out even though it was so so much nicer.

If I could grab a ‘13 Si sedan for cheap I’d be all over it. They literally have the best shifter I’ve ever held in my hand

Even before the recent price declines, new FoSTs were already selling at $1k+ below invoice after negotiation. I don’t even know how my dealer made money, as I think they got like $300 or so of their holdback (plus something for the loan, but even with that, it couldn’t have been much).
